Recent visit of Prince Albert II of Monaco to Morocco
His Royal Highness, Prince Albert II of Monaco recently visited Marrakech to lay the foundation stone for the brand new Jawhar Hotel Spa & Residences resort - a resort funded by the Principality's SBM group.
The 94million €uro project will include a 93-suite 5* hotel and 25 luxury villas and is aimed at wealthy Monaco residents wishing to take advantage of Morocco's favourable tax conditions for foreign buyers.
During his speech, Prince Albert commented that:
"This ceremony also marks a new stage in the development of warm relations that His Majesty King Mohammed VI and I have long enjoyed" , adding " many joint projects with both our countries have emerged in the political, economic but also environmental [sectors]". The complex is in line with the aspirations of Morocco's Plan Azur, a visionary plan designed to encourage investment, real estate and quality tourism in the country".
Wealthy individuals such as Jensen Button and Michael Flatley are said to be amongst clients having already resevered villas on the resort.
